DEF / AdBlue Manufacturer & Supplier in Delhi

Petroblast Lubricants supplies Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), also sold as AdBlue, from our base in Mundka, New Delhi. We serve fleet owners, transporters, workshops, dealers and industrial buyers across Delhi NCR and India who need dependable, high-purity DEF for BS-VI diesel vehicles and SCR-equipped engines.

What is DEF (AdBlue / AUS 32)?

DEF is a clear, non-toxic solution of 32.5% high-purity urea and 67.5% demineralised water. It is not a fuel additive. It is stored in a separate tank and injected into the exhaust stream, where the SCR system converts harmful nitrogen oxides (NOx) into harmless nitrogen and water. Without DEF, a BS-VI SCR engine can derate or refuse to run. For a full fleet-owner walkthrough, read our guide to DEF in India and BS-VI compliance.

Why buy DEF from a manufacturer-supplier in Delhi?

  • Purity matters. Contaminated or diluted DEF can clog injectors and poison the SCR catalyst, leading to expensive repairs and downtime.
  • Consistent supply. Fleets cannot afford a truck stopped for want of DEF. Buying direct means predictable availability and delivery planning in Delhi NCR.
  • Bulk and repeat-order pricing. Direct supply removes middlemen for transporters, bus operators and workshops with regular monthly demand.
  • One supplier for your lubricants too. Combine DEF with engine oil, gear oil, grease and hydraulic oil in a single order.

Who uses DEF

  • Commercial truck and bus fleets running BS-VI diesel vehicles
  • Transport companies, logistics operators and school or staff bus contractors
  • Construction, mining and earth-moving equipment owners
  • Diesel generator and industrial engine operators using SCR systems
  • Vehicle workshops, service stations and spare-parts retailers who resell DEF

DEF handling tips

  • Store sealed containers away from direct sunlight and extreme heat.
  • Use clean, dedicated funnels and dispensers. Never reuse fuel or oil containers.
  • Do not dilute DEF with water or add any additive.
  • Wipe up spills, because dried urea leaves crystals that can corrode connections.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between DEF and AdBlue?

AdBlue is a registered brand name for diesel exhaust fluid. DEF (also called AUS 32) is the generic product: a solution of 32.5% high-purity urea in 67.5% demineralised water that is injected into the exhaust of SCR-equipped diesel engines. Any DEF that meets the standard works in any SCR vehicle.

Which vehicles need DEF in India?

BS-VI diesel trucks, buses, tractors, generator sets and many diesel SUVs and LCVs use Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), which cannot run without DEF. Check your vehicle’s AdBlue/DEF tank cap or manual if you are unsure.

Do you supply DEF in bulk in Delhi NCR?

Yes. We supply DEF to fleet owners, transporters, workshops and dealers across Delhi NCR. Call +91 9911023888 with your monthly requirement and delivery location for a quote.

Can DEF be stored for a long time?

DEF is best stored sealed, away from direct sunlight and extreme heat, and used within its shelf life. Never top up with tap water or dilute DEF, because impurities damage the SCR catalyst and injector.

Can I become a DEF distributor or get private label DEF?

Yes. We work with distributors, workshops and fleet suppliers. Contact us with your city and expected volume and we will discuss terms.

What does AdBlue DEF mean?

AdBlue is the brand name used for diesel exhaust fluid, and DEF is the generic term. Both refer to the same thing: a clear solution of 32.5% high-purity urea in 67.5% demineralised water, also called AUS 32 (the ISO 22241 specification). It is used by SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) systems to turn harmful nitrogen oxides in diesel exhaust into harmless nitrogen and water.

Is DEF an oil or a fuel additive?

No. DEF is not an oil, a fuel or an additive. It is stored in its own tank, usually marked AdBlue or DEF with a blue cap, and must never be poured into the diesel tank or the engine oil. If DEF is added to the fuel tank by mistake, do not start the engine and get the vehicle checked.

How much DEF does a diesel vehicle use per km?

Consumption depends on the engine, load and driving conditions. As a general guide, SCR vehicles use DEF at roughly 2 to 3 percent of the diesel they burn, so a truck running 1,000 litres of diesel would use about 20 to 30 litres of DEF. Check your vehicle manual for the exact figure and tank size.

Does my diesel car or truck need DEF?

Diesel vehicles with an SCR system need DEF. This includes most BS-VI trucks, buses and tractors, and many newer diesel cars and SUVs. If your vehicle has a blue-capped AdBlue or DEF filler next to the diesel filler, or a DEF level on the dashboard, it needs DEF. If unsure, check the owner manual or ask your dealer.

Can I use plain water in the DEF tank?

No. DEF already contains 67.5% demineralised water, but it must be mixed to the exact urea concentration. Plain or tap water, or a diluted mix, will trigger SCR warnings and can damage the catalyst, injector and sensors. Always top up with fresh, sealed DEF.
