Lubricant demand in the Jalgaon belt
Jalgaon, in north Maharashtra’s Khandesh region, is best known for bananas and cotton, and it is also home to dal mills, a gold market and the head office of a large drip-irrigation and pipe maker. The Jalgaon MIDC estate and the farm belt around it keep a steady flow of tractors, pump sets, trucks and light goods carriers on the road, and the city sits on a major north–south highway and an important railway junction at nearby Bhusawal. All of that adds up to regular lubricant consumption.
